The Certificate in Cyber Security and Cyber Defense Program by IIT Kanpur is designed for students and recent graduates who are passionate about cyber security technologies. This program has been custom-designed from the curriculum of the Executive Program for experienced professionals. Professor teaching at the Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Kanpur. A recipient of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Award in Mathematical Sciences (2003), first Infosys Prize for Mathematics (2008) and Padma Shri (2013), he co-created the AKS primality test, for which he and his co-authors won the 2006 Fulkerson Prize and the 2006 Gödel Prize. His research interests include Computational Complexity Theory, Computational Number Theory and Algebra, and Cryptography.

He is actively involved in the development and incubation of indigenous solutions that improve cyber defence strategies and capabilities, such as ICS-Honeypots, ICS-SIEM, Threat Intelligence, Anomaly-based IDS etc.
